Ailsa inherits one half of the creepy old Scottish manor, The Manse where she spent the first few years of her life. after her mother dies. she moves in with her half-sister Carrie and it soon becomes clear that not everyone is happy that she has returned. She plans only to stay for as long as it takes to settle the inheritance but this s not straight forward as her father owns the other half and he has been missing for the past 27 years. Doors banging by themselves, strange noises, dead and mutilated animals and mysterious intruders along with the feeling that she is always being watched. Is the house haunted or is it all in her imagination?

The Missing Years is a fantastic mystery, a thriller with just the right amount of chilling ghost story thrown in. With a large cast of well-developed characters with interesting backstories.
"The Manse is watching me." is a fantastic opening line that had me hooked from the very beginning.
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and look forward to reading many more by this author in the future.
The Missing years is a creepy, atmospheric tale that I definitely recommend. 5 Stars!!!
