The cover of this book is alluring and very different compared to other books of this genre. Just like most blurbs, the blurb was able to captivate me.
Although the concept would be very interesting to read, I found the first look quite confusing and lacking. From the first view pages, I was already confused and couldn’t quite get into the story. It felt like this was a second book in a series, rather than a stand-alone.
But the writing style was incredibly descriptive (which probably made me so confused) and used some beautiful sentences, comparisons and metaphors.
