Intrigued by the premise of the story...
Okay so first off, the cover is DELICIOUS. I love the layout and the color scheme. I run a Twitter account where review books based on the cover, and then review them after I've read them (@sendmebooks) - and simply from the cover, I would expect good things from this book.
From the excerpt, there is an effortless situating of the reader in the historical era being talked about. I don't know much about Czech history, so I'm excited to read on. I liked the literary quality of the text very much. I read one of the other First Impressions for the horror book which is in the giveaway this week, and I just couldn't get into that prose. This on the other hand, had be wanting to read more.
