There seems to be a lot of books around where the characters become ‘The Keeper of Lost Things’ just lately, so I don’t think this is particularly original. The European setting does add a different element to the narrative, but I’ve found these stories where it just lists items that once belonged to people frustrating in the past, so I don’t think this one is for me. I’m sure others would find it magical and that there will be some lovely descriptions throughout.
The cover is intriguing, though slightly horroresque, I could easily imagine a knife or pair of ominous scissors hanging from those strings.
