I was hooked by this book within a few pages and really want to read more now! Laure is a fascinating character with a very interesting story to tell and it is clear that this will unfold within the pages of this book. Elizabeth Buchan writes so beautifully and I love her description of Paris. It is apparent that two timelines will be woven together within this story, with the added interest of Laure's failed marriage. The first look has left me with so many questions - why does Laure fear knives, why was she in Prague, why did her marriage fail? I think the only way to answer them will be to read the book fully.
