This book reels the reader in straight from the start. The Museum is a curious place full of all sorts of weird and wonderful items. All of these different objects represent different moments of life. Whether this be true happiness, betrayal in the greatest form or the loss of someone very close to you. The main character Laure is drawn into the museum and finds that she relates to it in many different ways. With her own grief to deal with she finds that the museum allows her to tackle her problems head on through visits to the museum. Whilst dealing with this grief the political atmosphere is in turmoil due to the communism that runs rife in the city. As she meets a musician it looks like her life is begin to change, or is it?
