I was looking forward to reading this book as the premise of it captivated me. But sadly it failed to deliver. The story is very slow developing and I lost interest in reading it to the end.
The main character , Laure is the owner of a museum of broken promises in Paris. People from all over the world bring items that for them represent broken promises in their lives. But secretly Laure also displays her own items from the time she fell in love with a musician in Prague. Although I thought its will be interesting I'm struggling to read it to the end. The descriptions if museum exhibits and shorts stories that accompanies them are neither too short or deep enough and it leaves an uncomfortable feeling that each person will encounter disappointment in life and it's always another person.
