The premise of this book had me really excited to read it. It wasn't an author that I've come across before so I had no expectations regarding the writing.
I feel like you are led to believe the majority of this book is set in the museum of broken promises, and the parts that were set there were the parts that I enjoyed the most. The idea of the museum of broken promises is such a lovely one, and I did enjoy the stories surrounding the objects, however I found the characters throughout the book very hard to warm to and the majority of the book a bit dry and hard to get through.
I found some of the information regarding communism in 1980s czechoslovakia intersting and I learned some things, but overall I found it pretty hard going
