From the cover, through the setting, to the title and the blurb, I expected to love everything about this book.
I was not able to put it down, as I was expecting more and more. Page by page, I expected the story to unfold, I held my breath. And I was disappointed somehow. The beauty, the delicate storytelling, it was all there. But somehow I was not able to attach myself to any of the characters. And maybe this is what made me like it less.
I loved the idea of the museum and imagined myself getting lost in its corridors and then taking a stroll on the twisty parisian roads.
In the end, I would recommend the book just for the beautiful idea of the museum of broken promises. We all have a promise we did not keep and this story shows is how important words are.
