The book starts off with a prologue, which in my opinion, was so intriguing I am a little sad it ended there. I wanted to know more of what happened immediately - but that's not what prologue are for. The prologue it is set in 1986, which was a difficult time for eastern Europe.
When the first chapter starts, we are thrown to our days in France, Paris to be precise. We encounter the same character - at least I think it is the same person - running the Museum of Broken Promises.
There is an incident in the museum, which makes you understand what sort of museum this is going to be.
The next chapter is, once again, a "before" the running of the museum, not quite back in 1986, but just before the museum opened. And here is where the preview stops.
I wonder if the book is going to be a narration in back and forth.
I am very intrigued by this book and it will definitely go on to my TBR list!
