Wow. From the opening line i was transported to the Austrian station. I lived there when i was small and have fond memories.
I could imagine the smells of the trains and they sped through on the tracks.
I could sense how terrified she must have been and how much pressure she was under to remember so many details or her escape.
I could picture the hustle and bustle of Paris and can imagine how the museum is set up with all of the artefacts telling their own story and holding their own memories.
I could literally picture all of the characters. I am very intrigued by the book and the journey each of the characters take. The pain Laure has gone through is paramount and can be portrayed from the start of the book.
