I found myself instantly drawn into the story, it’s beautifully written with complex characters. As the trauma of the war continues to haunt Michael, his failure to adjust to his new life has become both disappointing and frustrating for Frau Aunt. I’m interested to see how Richie and Michaels relationship develops and to find out more about Michael’s life in Germany. It’s a fascinating period of history and I love Hopper so I can’t wait to read more. I love the book cover.
