I like the cover very much. It's like a painting, the colours very muted and you can almost see a story evolving. I've read this author before and know she's very good! This particular novel I'm sure will strike a good balance between character and event. The fact that it takes place not long after the Second World War always appeals to me as the world was so different then. I was born in 1952 so have a bit of a feeling for it anyway. The American Dream is always a pull too.
