I must say, I was 50/50 on this book most of the way through. However, the writing, characters and descriptions are really interesting. Every scene that is described you can picture perfectly in your mind. The characters are each good in their own right and their stories and relationships are complex. This swayed me to enjoying it.

This runs from a young adopted German boy, an artist who is struggling with inspirations and his wandering thoughts and his wife who is confused and fighting with seemingly her own demons.

The book is quite long and doesn't move anywhere quick enough. The chapters are also long and drawn out which doesn't help with this.

This book is not for someone who likes fast paced action, however it is a warming read.
