I feel like this could have been a fantastic, beautiful story. However, it was slow going and I really struggled to get into this book, which is a shame as I felt I became easily distracted whilst reading and didn't feel the need to pick this book up to read with any spare 5 minutes I had. I found I wasn't eager to keep picking it up and thought it was a very slow and plodding book.
The book cover reminds me of an old Penguin book I would read as a child, which did initially draw me in. Unfortunately, it appears this is all I enjoyed about this book.
I must state I requested this book as it is not something I would usually read, therefor wanted to try something new. Although this will have greatly influenced my review, I did feel this book was a little boring.
