Wow.
That was one of the better first impressions I've read in a while, and at 48 pages I feel this book already sinking it's claws into me.

The book opens to a conversation between two Monsters, our main protagonist and a vampire, as they hunt a human to feed off.

The pace of the story barely slows from there, I as the reader are drip fed little morsels of world-building and mythology.
Whilst Alexandra Christo is certainly inspired by greek mythology as a starting point in this novel, it is already diverging and becoming a unique setting.

Love the fact that the main characters are a monster and a lowly herald of the gods, really want to read more and find out about how the world works, why the war with the gods happened and what the rest of the book has in store for me!
