I have a hit and miss relationship with Christo's books and characters, but I found this story surprisingly fun. I'm not sold on the "I'm just a scary monster with no humanity" storyline, it feels a little tired, but I found Silas' setting to be really funny. It made me think of heaven as depicted in Supernatural.
