The early chapters of this YA fantasy novel introduce the reader to the two main characters and although the story isn't one which appeals to me, I admired the author's use of language to quickly create vivid 'word pictures' so I can imagine that readers interested in this particular genre will find 'The Night Hunt' an immediately engaging read.
