This is a little darker than Christo’s previous To Kill a Kingdom or Crooked place duplogies, but still equally as well written and enjoyable.
The gods send forth monsters to hunt the Nefas, so she must form an alliance with Silas (a Hades-esque figure from the afterlife) in order to destroy the gods.
There are curses to be broken, pacts to be made and loyalties to be tested.

Silas knows what it means to be at the mercy of the gods. A a herald he is bound to ferry souls to the afterlife, as a punishment for a past he can’t remember.”
I’d recommend this to anyone who enjoys young adult mythology with a darker side. Ava Reid, Susan Dennard, Vanessa Len etc…
