I am always a big fan of Alexandra Christo so was desperate to read this one and I’m really glad I did! Atia is an immortal and Silas is a Herald, so we’re immediately on opposite sides here which is always exciting. They find themselves at a crossroads where they have to band together to solve both of their problems and I really enjoyed the development of their roles and their joint story.
I found all the characters really interesting, was intrigued throughout and kept on my toes and definitely didn’t want it to end. Alongside this I liked the variety of creatures, it really kept me hooked along with the incredible amount of action that happens throughout the book. The only reason this book was a four star and not a five was that I think it was geared slightly lower than my age but that’s to be expected really, but similarly, it’s nice to read something action packed but easy once in a while so fully recommend!
