I like how Mayken is already forming as a feisty, inquisitive character and I am enjoying observing her interactions with those familiar to her, and those who are not yet. I have a sense that she may need her strength of character as the voyage unfolds. I am interested in how the life events we will discover have sculpted Mayken and Gil, and to learn how their stories entwine.
