I adore Jess Kidd's writing and having previously read Things in Jars I have high hopes for this one too. Historical Fiction based on true events is my kind of story, and recently I have been drawn to books set at sea, so this feels like it was meant to be. Both timelines interest me, and frankly, I'd read a book about just one of them - so to get both in one novel is a happy bonus. I can't wait!
