I thought that the story has an interesting premise based if the blurb however reading the first impression was was unsure what was going on despite the incredible choice of time period and location due to the fact I felt the character Marken is developing too slowly and feel that the plot isn’t unravelling and neither is much character development. Based of the first impression I am unsure what the story could move too. I would love to continue to read to establish what the link to Gil is however the story of the first impression isn’t enthralling me as much as it could. I feel the cover usefully depicts the mysteries below and the past however I feel it shows nothing of the link to the modern period of the story.
