i give it mid reviews as i recognise that it is a subjective and personal opinion of mine that i have for this book, and so that is important to note as you may like it. the reason why i do not particularly love this book is mostly because it is located on a ship. i find those types i guess uncomfortable- i like the settings of a place like a home or town or city. I cant quite get into ones that are on sea or beach or ships etc things like that. i think it sets the tone as you can only interact and meet so many characters in a smaller space like a ship. also, it also means that they are only so many locations on a ship- a character can not talk or write about a new room or place because they are only so many to explore on a ship and they will be explored pretty soon. also, the main protagonist is pretty young and it appears to be a family based book. so the relationship between the dad and daughter
