Interesting idea, a true crime book being written within the confines of this book. The real killer discovering a previous victim he overlooked has written a book about the crime, many years later - saying she is hunting him down. Is the publishing of the true crime book more like bait to draw him out, after all if they knew who he was then he wouldn't be reading about his past crimes, surely they'd have arrested him already.
I've thoroughly enjoyed this author in the past so have an expectation of the quality level for this one, and so far from the extract i am not disappointed. I am invested in finding out what happens next, does he try to silence her in case she does unmask him after all these years, or does he sit back and ignore the book she has written? Why was that his last murder, what made him stop for all those years?
