Crime and mystery novels are my favourite genre, so I was instantly excited to read the extract from 'The Nothing Man'. I've read a lot of books in this genre in my time, and my first impression of this one is that it looks to be a very strong addition to its genre, and something a bit different!

From page one I was hooked, as the relatable settings of the supermarket, and later on the bookshop, made it easy and effortless to immerse myself into the story.

I also found the concept of the book, that is, a book within a book, really intriguing. This is what made 'The Nothing Man' really stand out as being different to your typical crime and mystery novel, and I'm really interested to see how this develops.

The extract was also really well written and edited, which I also appreciate, as there were no jarring typing errors or phrases which halted my reading, meaning it was a pleasure to read from start to finish.

I'm really keen to see how the characters of Jim and Eve develop, and how their lives and stories might intertwine.

Overall this was a fantastic extract, and I would absolutely love to read the rest of the novel!
