I love a good crime book and this one seems uniquely wonderful and dark. The idea of the book being both that of the survivor (through her in-book book... Bookception?) and of the perpetrator reading that very book is incredible. Both the voices of Eve and of Jim are immediately clear and well-developed. The entire concept and the characters are an enticing draw.
