Wow! What a tantalising first couple of chapters! Crime Thrillers aren’t my first choice of book but this one has me wondering all kinds of scenarios that could develop, which is usually a sign of an immersing and enjoyable read.

A survivor of a gruesome and horrific murder by a serial offender immediately hides away during the aftermath. Years later, she writes a book all about it, which comes to the attention of the murderer, who is still at large.

What I liked was that we hear both points of view in the story so far. It seems that the man responsible for breaking in and murdering the family members is living a normal life, in the city where the crime took place. Something alludes to him having given up his crimes (fear of being caught?) but the discovery of the victim’s book looks as if it might bring particular feelings up from where they have been buried.
I can’t wait to read the rest of this. As I said, this is not my usual genre but I do like them when they are well written, which The Nothing Man seems to be, from the opening chapters.
Only one things that slightly irked me; the moniker given: The Nothing Man, because he left nothing behind at the scene of crime. I just feel as if the imaginary police or media or whoever came up with that could have done slightly better!
