Firstly the intro to this book is the most gripping and intriguing that I've ever read and had me hooked! The writing style is great and helped me get through this book quite quickly.

Despite thinking that the first 50 pages were incredible, the book took a downhill turn from there. I found the book to be very anticlimactic, there was a serious lack in action to the point where it felt like an entire book of info dumping. This is in no way a bad book as I did enjoy it enough to give it a 3 star, it's just very dissapointing when compared to my initial expectations of it.

The author does do a great job on characters, I felt Jim was very well characterised and the author really managed to control my emotions throughout and rounded my feelings of each character perfectly.

If this book had more action and displayed Jim being more sinister in the current timeline then this could easily be a 5 star favourite. I just found it too boring at times to be a favourite.

A very unique thriller and would still recommend for fans of brutal thrillers, which do not hold back on the details.
