A phycological thriller that manages to stand out from the rest by being cleverly written with a strong plot line and well-developed characters. I enjoyed the structure of the book and how the narrative switched between the killer and the narrative of the victim’s book, which was an unusual angle. Sometimes I find a split narrative can lead to a story feeling disjointed but the author avoids that in this case and keeps it seamless and convincing.

The tension built throughout the book and the various twists do not feel contrived. The support cast are realistic and the book is very readable. I don’t want to give anymore of the plot line away but thoroughly recommend this book – I couldn’t put it down once I started it.
