I love everything that I read in this sneak peak. It's very meta with a book inside a book but I love a thriller with cat and mouse type scenario. I love it even more were we see the original survivor of a murder playing the cat. Our antagonist Jim aka the murderer is definitely an interesting character. Why did he stop killing? How did he get away with it? What's he been doing all these years? Because he seems very normal with a normal job which makes him even more concerning. Out protagonist aka the girl who survived is interesting as well. We see her hide the fact that she was a victim and her life has revolved around that and then she suddenly publishes an entire book about the experience and looking for her family's killer? This book is just super intriguing I cannot wait to read more. Plus the writing style wasn't too complicated which is helpful when you have a complex plot and it had a nice contrasting tone between the characters. All in all I'm hooked!
