We start by being introduced by Jim, a security guard who happens upon a new cultivating book for sale, written by EVE BLACK. This is a autobiographical novel written by the sole survivor of the notorious cork city killer. Jim is this notorious killer. The plot thickens from broth to a nutritious meal within just a few sentences.

Cleverly the author then flicks to a few blanks pages, few thank you and source acknowledgment sections, which portrays that Jim has started to read this book. This is a master plan to make this transition exciting and very memorable. Also displays the author’s versatility in transcribing in a first persons perspective. The distinct difference between the two prose styles, does make you feel like you are reading two very different books, this also makes Jim feel so much more real.

The non fictional format introduces Eve, her victim tone and description of the horrors, ignite your sympathy, tense trauma and just as you are immersing yourself,

Suddenly you are thrown out of this tale and are jolted back to Jim. Jim is being interrupted by the store manager, who is sarcastically addressing Jim and pointing out that Jim should be working not reading. Despite being narrated in this third person, you do feel more like you are Jim. A cultivating understanding developing of the insightful way this is going to go in, demanding another page to be turned, especially as then a sketch of Jim becomes apparent, when the store manager flicks through the book and lands on it. You hold your breath, as the store manager seems to study the image and then looks long and hard at Jim...
