I have read the previous book by Catherine Ryan Howard 'Rewind' and it had proper messed with my head so when I saw this one I had to have it. And it didn't dissapoint. The nothing man is a story of the killer and a survivor in one book. It starts with the killer who now is a typical older man, working as a security guard in a supermarket finding out that there is a book about him written by the only survivor of his killing spree 20 years ago. As he starts reading it so do we and we get to know the author, Eve Black and the trauma she went through and how is she trying to bring the killer to justice and pay homage to all the victim.
The book is very cleverly written with the inside thinking of the killer and the victim as the story progresses you get to know him more and understand his thinking it also gives a good insight to the life of the survivor, the pressure put on by the public to now have a great life as they have been given a second chance and guilt put on by themselves, not understanding why did they got to live and others who could be more worthy died. Its a gripping story and very well written book.
