Although the synopsis sounded intriguing I didn't find myself being drawn into the main character's world. I wonder whether this was because it soon became clear that this is the second book starring this assassin/mother/wife and I so began to feel that I needed to know more about her past before I could engage with her! I also felt there was too much of a chick-lit feel about the storytelling and wondered whether I'd feel irritated by having to suspend disbelief about the spy aspects of the story!
