Pros:
-Throws you straight into the action
-World building/plotting (you can tell the author has give thought to the intelligence unit and the criminals they are working against; the idea of the website is a particularly interesting concept.)
Cons:
-Characterisation (some of the characters felt one dimensional, particularly Cameron. I'm so sick of mean girls and girl on girl hate. However, as this was only a few chapters it is possible the characters get more fleshed out as the book goes on.)
-Dialogue (at times it could be a bit unnatural)
In general, I think the criminal storyline is interesting however the book also has a large focus on motherhood and the main character's personal life. Though, this isn't always a con. The section where Lex analyses everything she says to her daughter was well done and relatable. But, for me the family life isn't something I'm particularly interested in. I think someone who is into adult contemporary would really enjoy this blend of crime and contemporary fiction.
