A light hearted look at the world of counter espionage, The Nursery sets the life of a secret agent in stark contrast to life as the mother of a toddler. It's a great concept and the author has cleverly aligned the worlds rather more closely than is usual in these types of books. The story is action packed, and there's plenty of shooting and bomb disposal to add to the tension. I found some of the references to Peppa Pig a little bit jarring and perhaps these were overused, which is a shame. It's always great, however, to see plenty of strong women in fiction and there are plenty to choose from (my favourite, the undeniably fierce Dior Dame!). Central London always works as a setting and is used here to perfection. An enjoyable read.
