This is not the sort of book I would generally choose to read, so it came as a pleasant surprise that this is now one of my favourite books I have read this year.

The characters were all interesting and diverse with engaging personalities and I found it easy to empathize with the protagonist. The characters were the main reason I engaged with this book and wanted to keep reading.

The opening particularly served its purpose well as a means of establishing Lex's double life in an unexpected way. Although I am not a great fan of spy novels, I really enjoyed this one.
