Enjoyable
I really enjoyed this book, the writing style gives you the details you need without being over the top and fits Lex's PoV perfectly, though I felt that there were a few moments where characters didn't use contractions when speaking in places where real people would have which made the dialogue occasionally a little jarring.
The story is engaging, and the issues in Lex's personal life are realistic without being too much drama, or detracting from the main plot. I particularly enjoyed the reveal of who the traitor was, it was well foreshadowed without being obvious, and was well timed in the narrative.
I did feel that the animal codenames like rat, snake, pigeons etc were a little overused at the beginning but it settled down okay.
Overall, a good sequel, and I look forward to reading the next book.
