I read Killing It and absolutely loved it so was so excited to get my hands on The Nursery and catch up with Lex again.
This book starts off with some heart racing drama and by page 4 I was hooked right back into Lex and her double life of first time mum & secret service assassin.
You absolutely don’t have to have read the first book to enjoy and get into this one. Some of the same characters appear in both though which is nice as it feels familiar.
Lex and her team Whistle at Platform 8 have to stop some government infiltration and keep a Chinese minister safe which leads to some dramas / excitement /comedy along the way.
I think Lex is a brilliant character and she experiences mum guilt and self doubt in her personal life while literally kicking butt in her professional life.
