Not enough research

I feel like there’s not that many ‘spy’ or ‘assassin’ novels in the thriller section so I was really excited to read this novel. The first impression definitely hooked me in and I loved the concept of an assassin for the government who was also a mother.
I was disappointed that the husband was so cliché, and that was something I was not expecting from this novel. He couldn’t even wash his own clothes or take care of their child. Unfortunately, Alex was stuck doing all the chores. I also felt that their relationship wasn’t very authentic, but that is a completely different matter.
I really liked the characters and how the organisation was structured but it is obvious that not enough research was put into this novel. Many parts were way too unrealistic and made no sense. I definitely would have loved this novel if more effort was put into the research of it.
