Just by reading 30 pages, I can see that Joanna Glen has a talent for writing characters and settings.
I love character stories, especially when I get a feel for a fictional character so quickly.
The characteristics of the people featured in this book seem clearly written, that I feel like I know them, and their whole persona has been built up already.
The scene setting of the 2 opposing story locations is brilliant. I can relate to the small British town, and the fantastic descriptions Parfaits family and surroundings give a real sense of the community he lives in and his world around him.

I like the cover, and I’m yet to see the significance of dragonflies, but love that 2 have been singled out!
