Unusual but strangely captivating.

Augusta and Julia are twins though born a day apart and have opposing characters. These characters are compounded by their parents who find Augusta due to her unusual way of seeing the ordinary and extraordinary in their day to day lives as being oppositional. While they profess to love Augusta she for her part feels different from her family and it is this feeling of difference that inspires her pursuit of knowledge and her use of language. As part of this pursuit she chooses Burundi as her favourite country as she likes the sound of the name, and she sets out to learn all she can about the country.

Meanwhile in Burundi, Parfait, and his family are experiencing the horrors of ethnic cleansing in their country. Parfait is separate from his family in a similar way to how Augusta is separate from her family.

Are their lives connected, and if so how will they develop?
