This book reminded me in some ways to "Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine "(Book that I loved, by the way!) and they both made me feel similar things.

I really liked the first chapter. It was a bit too long but it was perfect to get to know the main character, Augusta Hope, and her peculiarities.

I loved all the Spanish mentions throughout the book! It made smile all the time, it made me feel closer to home and I just awed every time the spoke in Spanish or were in Spain! Olé!

I loved Augusta and Julia's relationship. It's known that twins have a special connection but I just loved how the cared for each other and how much they loved each other.

As they grew up and things started to happen to them, I grew sadder and sadder. I felt bad for the situation, for Augusta, for her feelings... I mean, I know that's life but it was hard and sad to read and realise it.

Since the start of the book I was kind of reading with a bit of fear. I knew that something bad was going to happen and that I couldn't do anything to avoid it. I thought about the worse and I had a lump on my throat for many chapters.

When the worst came I couldn't stop crying for a couple of pages. I didn't expect this book to take this turn and it really surprised me and saddened me too.

Parfait's story was a lot harder. I liked him, I suffered for him, I celebrated his triumfs with him and I want the best for him. His recorrido was so unfair and horrible that made me think about all the people that, unfortunately, go trough the same and it broke my heart...

I liked all the turns the story took and how the events turned out. I liked the way the two main characters met and how their relationship was developed.

I liked the ending, if a little rushed, was a perfect one to this amazing book.

I had never heard about Joanna Glen before but wow... This book really is great!
