Good but not great
This book is split between the stories of Augusta Hope, and Parfait, spanning nearly 2 decades of their lives. Lives that appear to be completely separate, but are actually entwined.
I enjoyed the book, but there was something about it that stopped me from loving it...maybe it was I felt a little contrived in places, and I felt the coincidences were a bit far fetched.
I had seen descriptions of the book as this years Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine, and although Augusta was a kooky female lead, that is where I felt the similarities ended. I certainly wouldn't read this book hoping for the same again.
Having said that as a stand alone it was enjoyable, although sad in some places. Good but not great.
