Highly recommended
Augusta, the protagonist of this wonderful book loves words and it is clear from the writing style that the author loves words too. I’m an avid reader and I voraciously consumed this narrative and then felt sad it was finished.
Some books I read to fill time waiting for the next good book. This book was a literacy pleasure. A coming of age story. Augusta feels out of place within her family; a square peg in a round hole.
The chapters alternate with the voice of the other main character.
Augusta has a twin and her life follows a contrasting path to Augusta.
Whilst growing up, Augusta dreams of unknown places, hankering after the place or person where she will “fit”.
I do not want to spoil the plot or your pleasure with this golden read. Read it soon. I’m waiting for more from the same author.
