Augusta is the main character in this book. She loves words and it is clear from the writing style that the author loves words too. As an avid reader myself, I really enjoyed the style of writing and loved the character development.
I read over 100 books a year and some I remember and stay with me and others i forget instantly. This is one of those books that will stay with me. It a real treat to read, such a good coming of age story.
As you get in to the book you just can help loving Augusta- a square peg in a round hole.
The different viewpoints in the text are kept clear and Augusta’s twin, who is virtually the opposite of Augusta, is also portrayed well.
I do not want to spoil the plot so I won’t go on- you just need to read it.
