This book really caught my attention from the beginning with Augusta as one of the main characters out spoken and questioning the world in a family who just wanted safe and normal. She captures our intrigue about her sister as talking about past memories and I. The past tense which makes us wonder what is going to happen further along.
Parfait in bhurundi also is a likeable character growing up in a time of war and in complete contrast to that of Augusta.
Both main characters lives and stories are intriguing and leave a lot more to be found out about. I would definitely buy this book as the writing style of the novel is easy to follow and switches between characters and scenarios effortlessly. I am very intrigued to see how the lives of both characters continue and what further events lie in store within. Well written while capturing the reader in the first couple of chapters.
