This book was not what I expected at all. Firstly, the book cover itself is gorgeous. I love the gold foil dragonflies! Secondly, anyone who knows me knows how much I love reading things that reference more intellectual or classical texts or art, not only did this book do this but there were parts in Spanish, and a general understanding for learning the language, something I can completely resonate with at the moment as I am studying Spanish. The story was generally slow paced but not in a bad way, it tended to keep the plot relatively light-hearted despite touching on some very serious topics, making it incredibly thought-provoking. I was reading I'll Give You The Sun at the same time and the two resonated with one another so well. Definitely recommend for I'll Give you the Sun fans!
