This book tells the story of a girl named Augusta and her other half - evident from the title. I like how the book is written from two different perspectives from two people in completely different parts of the world and how it all comes together in the end. This is the first book I have read by the author, Joanna Glenn, and her writing style and story-telling is very refreshing and unparalleled to any book I have read uptil now and that's why I really enjoyed reading it! The book offers a little bit of everything; romance, tragedy, hardships and a different outlook on life. The book follows the story of Augusta from childhood to an adult and the journey she and her family goes through. The book also tells the story of Parfait, a guy from Burindi who experiences a lot of hardships in his life but is still positive. This book offered hope and positivity even after facing countless obstacles.
