I am quite undecided about this book. I found it a little difficult to get into. It is very different to what I would normally read but sounded great from the first impression. I think that the story of Augusta's life is really fantastic, a very gifted child who thinks differently to most other children, Augusta is not bothered about playing with friends, she prefers to read and learn new things, such as words and the true meaning of them. As she grows older she appears to be the complete opposite of her twin sister Julia. The sisters are very close in spite of their obvious differences but when tragedy strikes and Julia dies, Augusta's world is shattered, all Augusta can think of is starting a new life elsewhere which becomes her every thought. I am sure that many people would love this book, just not really for me.
